Anneloes Leijssen is a creative strategist and cultural advisor with more than 15+ years of experience, shaping narratives for global institutions, foundations and purpose driven organizations accross Europe and Asia.

 

She has led and managed projects in culture, sustainability and social impact, including work in the arts, climate action, gender equality and public health. Her practice spans creative direction, narrative development, and cross-cultural collaborations - helping organizations strengthen their identity, reputation and global reach. She advises boards and teams on positioning, public engagement and audience strategy.

 

Based in Penang, Malaysia, she collaborates with organizations and partners around the world. 

 

As co-founder of Open Studios Penang - Malaysia’s largest open studios art event - Anneloes has shaped the public-facing experience of a platform that brings regional artists and communities together. She also

co-founded the Lean In Network Penang, designing programs that support women’s leadership, career advancement and broader conversations on gender equity.

 

She holds a Master's degree in Communications Science and Popular Culture from the University of Amsterdam, with a major in Media Studies completed at the University of Copenhagen.
