Anneloes Leijssen is a creative strategist and communications advisor with over 15 years of experience shaping narratives for global institutions, foundations and purpose-driven organizations across Europe and Asia.
She leads projects in culture, sustainability, climate action, gender equality and public health. She delivers creative direction, narrative development and cross-cultural collaborations that strengthen identity, reputation and reach.
She advises boards, government leaders and CEOs on positioning, public engagement, campaigns and media. She turns ideas into visible, action-driving results.
Based in Penang, Malaysia, she collaborates with a wide range of organizations.
As co-founder of Open Studios Penang, Malaysia’s largest open studios art event, she built a platform that brings regional artists and communities together through storytelling and outreach that continues to thrive.
She also co-founded Lean In Network Penang. She designed programs that support women’s leadership, career advancement and open conversations on gender equity.
She holds a Master’s in Communications Science and Popular Culture from the University of Amsterdam, with a major in Media Studies completed at the University of Copenhagen.
